The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banana blocks a head kick by Mercer.
Banana throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mercer's waist but Mercer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Banana off to one side.
Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Banana swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Banana misses the shot to the body.
Banana scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Mercer counters by moving into the clinch.
