Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Mizakota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mizakota has chosen as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendall Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuo Mizakota! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mizakota connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Alves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Alves moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Alves scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Mizakota gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Alves misses with a combination
and Mizakota counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mizakota bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Alves is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Alves actively working from the bottom here. Alves moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mizakota is looking to work some ground and pound but Alves has wrist control. Alves keeping moving, preventing Mizakota from controlling successfully. Alves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mizakota gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mizakota doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mizakota manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alves manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mizakota manages to get himself to full guard.
Alves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mizakota trying to keep a closed guard but Alves is proving a slippery customer.
Alves wants to control from the top but Mizakota keeps moving. Alves is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Mizakota seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Alves landing with the ground and pound. Mizakota looking for a guillotine here but Alves defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mizakota is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alves slips nicely into half guard. Alves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mizakota is trying to get back to full guard. Mizakota manages to get to full guard.
Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Alves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Alves pushing down on Mizakota's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mizakota blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Alves takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mizakota is looking for a sweep. Alves is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alves slips a nice elbow through Mizakota's hands, connecting with Mizakota's forehead. Mizakota gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves scoring with some ground and pound. Mizakota working a defensive guard here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alves lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mizakota had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alves defends it easily. Alves chips away with some ground and pound. Alves lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alves content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Alves slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alves working the ground and pound. Alves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mizakota, who protects the arm well. Alves scores with punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Mizakota's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alves cracks Mizakota with a big right hand but Mizakota just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alves is working Mizakota over with some ground and pound from side control. Mizakota is looking for a sweep. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Alves lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mizakota down.
Mizakota is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendall Alves dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Alves thows a body shot but no joy. Alves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mizakota moves away. Mizakota tries to close the distance and clinch but Alves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Alves avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mizakota looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Alves scoring with punches and elbows. Mizakota tries to bench press Alves off him but Alves keeps the position. Alves is working to tighten is grip on Mizakota's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mizakota has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alves is really squeezing tight and eventually Mizakota passes out! Alves breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
