Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jonathan Riseman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Karl Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lawson.
It looks like Jonathan Riseman has been cut.
No joy there for Lawson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lawson tries to keep at a distance but Riseman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lawson connects with a knee to the head.
Lawson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Riseman ducks under a wild hook from Lawson.
Lawson darts in and clinches Riseman up against the cage.
Lawson avoiding damage as Riseman throws knees to the body.
Lawson is looking to break free of the clinch but Riseman has double underhooks.
Riseman lands a good knee to the midsection. Lawson won't want to take too many of those.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lawson manages to break the clinch.
Lawson darts in and clinches Riseman up against the cage.
Riseman misses with a knee to the head.
Riseman looking to throw knees to the head but Lawson is blocking nicely.
Riseman gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lawson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lawson working for a triangle but Riseman defends it easily.
Lawson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Riseman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riseman won't allow Lawson to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lawson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Riseman has his hands clasped together but Lawson extends an breaks Riseman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lawson.
