PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alacrity Fitzhugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anselmo Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitzhugh comes to the cage accompanied by Master of Puppets. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzhugh tries to clinch up but Ramon circles away and keeps his distance.
Fitzhugh fails with a takedown attempt.
Ramon swats away the attempt to clinch by Fitzhugh.

Ramon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fitzhugh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fitzhugh has his foot on Ramon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ramon works his way back into a safe position though.

Fitzhugh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramon defends well.

Ramon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fitzhugh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramon has managed to get both his arms back between Fitzhugh's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fitzhugh has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ramon. Oh but Fitzhugh has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ramon goes limp - he's gone! Fitzhugh jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
