Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikos Karapatsakidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Conway might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Saigon - Desperado. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Conway controlling the position. Conway is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Karapatsakidis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Conway trying to control the action but Karapatsakidis is working from the bottom. Conway has an Americana. Karapatsakidis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Conway is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Conway hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mark Conway! Mark Conway decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
