The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olej gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yawoka to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Olej can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yawoka controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Berik Yawoka.
Yawoka takes the fight into the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yawoka has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Olej off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Yawoka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Olej tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yawoka is in Olej's guard.

Yawoka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Olej's guard.

Yawoka is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Olej has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Olej!

Yawoka is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Olej off and has taken his back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Olej is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yawoka throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Olej was covering up waiting for the punch and Yawoka finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Yawoka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Olej's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Yawoka is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Olej is trying to escape and Yawoka transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Olej is forced to tap! Nice work there by Yawoka! Very nice indeed!
