Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Coke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Balboa!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coke tries to bum rush Balboa with a series of wild strikes but Balboa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Coke leaves Balboa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Balboa scores with a jab to the head.
Coke fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Coke as Balboa shoots in.
A shot to the liver by Balboa. Beautiful body shot.
Balboa misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Coke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Coke shoots in for a takedown but Balboa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Coke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Balboa but Balboa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Balboa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Balboa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Coke gets tackled into the cage by Balboa. Balboa maintains the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Balboa wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rocky Balboa was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Balboa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Coke swivels and escapes.

Coke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.
Coke looks to land a combination but Balboa avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Coke. Those never looked like landing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coke is defended easily by Balboa.
Coke misses with a combination

and Balboa counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coke can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coke is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Balboa dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rocky Balboa's cut.
That's time! Coke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Balboa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Balboa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Coke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Balboa circles away.
Balboa dives in and grabs Coke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coke pushes down on Balboa's head and hops out.
Balboa slips a jab and a cross from Coke.
Coke shoots in looking for a takedown but Balboa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rocky Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Balboa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Coke lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Balboa scores with a jab to the jaw.

Balboa moves out of range of the leg kick from Coke.
Coke throws a leg kick but Balboa sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Balboa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coke was well out of range. Poor timing from Balboa.
Coke misses with a two punch combination.
Coke ducks right into an uppercut from Balboa.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Coke looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Balboa dives in and grabs Coke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coke pushes down on Balboa's head and hops out.

Coke throws a right hand that Balboa ducks under and follows up with a left that Balboa also avoids with ease.
Coke slaps away a takedown attempt from Balboa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kid Coke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Balboa.
Coke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balboa.
Balboa misses with a looping right.
Coke throws out a loose jab but Balboa uses good head movement to avoid it.

Coke shoots in and bounces Balboa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Balboa wants to stand and escape but Coke is having none of it.

Balboa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Coke wants to pass the guard but Balboa is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Balboa is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Coke.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Balboa stalks Coke and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Coke's face. Coke staggers backwards, shaken.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kid Coke will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Coke throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Balboa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Coke is in Balboa's guard.
Balboa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Balboa is keeping the position for now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Coke misses with a few strikes there.
Coke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Balboa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Coke throws a left and a right that both miss
and Balboa counters with a series of strikes. Coke will be more careful next time no doubt.
Coke shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Balboa sprawls well. Balboa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coke gets slowly back to his feet.
Coke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Balboa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Coke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Balboa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Coke somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kid Coke. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Coke counters with a left and a right that stings Balboa.
Coke dodges the punch combination from Balboa.
Coke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balboa.
Rocky Balboa seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Balboa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kid Coke.
I think Coke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
