Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnie Ballantine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smokudju Womba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Womba's choice of entrance music: Ludacris - Blueberry Yum Yum. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Smokudju Womba!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballantine throws a body kick that misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Ballantine.
Womba throws a leg kick but Ballantine sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ballantine moves out of range as Womba throws a body kick.
Womba tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ballantine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Womba somewhat.
Womba avoids the head kick by Ballantine.
Womba throws a hook but Ballantine blocks it.

Womba tries to keep at a distance but Ballantine has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ballantine pushes Womba back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ballantine lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ballantine blocks an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Ballantine.
Womba struggles to land a body shot inside as Ballantine controls his hands.
Ballantine misses with a punch on the inside.
Ballantine throws a punch but it's blocked by Womba.

Womba is trying to trip Ballantine. He has hold of a leg but Ballantine is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Womba persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Womba trying to control but Ballantine is working from the bottom.
Womba postures up and lands a big shot to Ballantine's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Womba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ballantine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Womba passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ballantine gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Ballantine tries to hold on but Womba postures up.
Ballantine tries to reverse the position but Womba maintains control.
Womba thowing shots but they're missing.
Womba landing strikes from the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ballantine tries to hold on but Womba pushes him away.
Womba won't let Ballantine get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Womba avoids the attempt from Ballantine to control.
Womba is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ballantine can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Ballantine is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Womba! Ballantine is out cold! This one is all over!
