Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaci Bolio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gaci Bolio! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wallace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wallace dives in and scores a takedown into Bolio's guard. Wallace missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wallace makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wallace controlling from the top position. Wallace looking to pass the guard. Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wallace cracks Bolio with a solid left hand. Wallace with a flurry of punches that miss. Wallace controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bolio keeping full guard, as Wallace tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace stands up from guard. Let's bang! Gaci Bolio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wallace looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wallace drops back looking for a leg! Bolio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bolio manages to kick Wallace off! Wallace jumps back into Bolio's guard. Wallace loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace advances to half guard. Wallace tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bolio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wallace is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bolio has managed to free his arm - good work. Wallace is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wallace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bolio is just riding it out for now. Wallace eventually gives up the hold. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wallace in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wallace works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bolio manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wallace in side control, throwing shots but Bolio defends. Bolio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wallace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wallace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bolio is avoiding damage well.

Bolio misses with a right hand and Wallace counters with a single leg into guard. Bolio didn't expect that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Bolio is retaining full guard. Bolio is breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wallace stands up and beckons Bolio to his feet. Wallace is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bolio can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bolio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bolio tries to land a front kick but Wallace steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Gaci Bolio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace wants to clinch up but Bolio keeps it at a distance. Wallace swinging wildly here.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bolio napping and manages to drive through into side control! William Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wallace creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bolio sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Wallace in side control, throwing shots but Bolio defends. Wallace working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wallace is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wallace sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bolio is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Wallace is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bolio will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gaci Bolio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
