Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Rosario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosario comes to the cage accompanied by COBRA. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bennett's choice of entrance music: Smuggly Ugly . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fernando Rosario! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stu Bennett! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario stuffs the takedown attempt from Bennett. Bennett gets slowly back to his feet. Bennett clinches up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Rosario's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rosario tries to break the clinch but Bennett is controlling the position. Bennett lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bennett is thwarting Rosario's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bennett stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Nice sprawl there from Rosario as Bennett shoots in. Rosario avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fernando Rosario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennett fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fernando Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stu Bennett. Bennett forces Rosario back against the cage and clinches. Bennett successfully pulls guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bennett is controlling Rosario's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosario throws a strike but Bennett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bennett sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bennett looking to pass the guard. Bennett controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Stu Bennett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bennett looks for the body kick but Rosario saw that one coming. Bennett on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Bennett closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bennett can't get the takedown.
Rosario could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rosario has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bennett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bennett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rosario throws a strike but Bennett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bennett stays in close to Rosario's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett stops Rosario from standing up. Bennett is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bennett is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bennett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rosario swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bennett controlling the action here. Bennett missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rosario is trying to stand back up but Bennett is controlling him
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rosario is trying to maintain the position but Bennett is very close to passing his half guard. Bennett passes to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stu Bennett dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rosario slaps away a takedown attempt from Bennett, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stu Bennett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A solid body kick from Rosario. Bennett on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Rosario lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rosario buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bennett gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bennett shoots in and bounces Rosario off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bennett stands and throws Rosario's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bennett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Bennett's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rosario tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Bennett controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rosario has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bennett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rosario tries to hold on but Bennett postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett throws some wild stikes that Rosario manages to avoid easily.
Bennett controlling the pace for now. Rosario tries to reverse the position but Bennett maintains control. Bennett controlling from mount. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bennett has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Rosario is forced to tap!
