Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ari Antenni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Pynchon! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pynchon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Antenni throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Antenni moves to clinch but Pynchon breaks away and Pynchon counters with a single leg into guard. Antenni didn't expect that. Pynchon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Antenni works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Pynchon throwing strikes but missing. Antenni can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pynchon controls the pace. Pynchon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Antenni avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pynchon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pynchon is in close to Antenni's body, working some short punches and elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pynchon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pynchon working some strikes from top position. Pynchon connects with a couple of short punches.
It looks like Ari Antenni has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pynchon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pynchon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pynchon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Antenni is breathing heavily. Pynchon stays in close to Antenni's body and controls the position. Pynchon landing some decent shots from guard. Pynchon lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pynchon's corner is telling him to maintain position. Antenni on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Antenni tries to get out of the position. Pynchon working some strikes from top position. Pynchon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pynchon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pynchon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Antenni will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pynchon scoring with some ground and pound.
Ari Antenni's cut is getting worse. Pynchon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Antenni is rocked! Pynchon stays in close to Antenni's body and controls the position. Oh Antenni is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Antenni keeping moving, preventing Pynchon from controlling successfully. Antenni seems to have got his legs back now. Pynchon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Antenni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pynchon on the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pynchon stands up over Antenni, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Pynchon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pynchon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Thomas Pynchon wins by unanimous decision! A relieved looking Thomas Pynchon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
