Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aamos Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aamos Berg is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aamos Berg!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berg blocks a head kick by Doe.
Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe misses with an uppercut.
Berg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doe tries to avoid it but Berg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doe to the ground. Doe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Doe throws a sloppy head kick and Berg moves out of range easily.
Doe scores with a spinning back kick!
Berg tries for a takedown but Doe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Berg shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aamos Berg.

Berg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Berg is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Doe makes his way to full guard, as Berg worked for a kimura.

Berg has gone for a leg lock! Doe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Berg's guard.

Berg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Berg can do anything to dispel that myth.
Doe wants to control from the top but Berg keeps moving.

Berg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Berg is on top in guard.
Berg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Berg is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Doe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Doe has escaped and now he's on top!
Berg wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Berg wants to sweep here but Doe controlling him for the moment.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Berg is on top in guard.
Berg is pushing down on Doe's leg trying to pass to half guard. Doe is fighting to maintain full guard but Berg has managed to sneak the leg through.

Berg wants to work for an arm triangle but Doe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Berg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Doe's head.

Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Berg looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Berg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Berg is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Doe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Doe!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berg throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Doe escapes and throws Berg's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Berg manages to work his way to half guard, despite Doe's best efforts.

Doe looking to control but Berg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Berg is trying to escape the mount.
Berg is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Berg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Berg keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Doe trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Berg tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Berg is desperately trying to improve his position but Doe has a good base and remains in mount.

Aamos Berg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Doe throws a right hand that Berg ducks under and follows up with a left that Berg also avoids with ease.
Doe throws a leg kick but Berg sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Berg avoids the head kick by Doe.
Berg shoots in for a double leg but Doe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe misses with a head kick.
Berg misses with a hook.
Berg misses the shot to the body.
Berg avoids the head kick by Doe.
Doe tries a head kick but it misses.
Berg takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Berg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Berg showed some decent athleticism there.

Doe wants to stand and escape but instead Berg has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Berg wants to control but Doe is keeping him busy.

Aamos Berg has got the better of the ground game so far.
Doe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Berg.
