Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reece Tomko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Etan Xoul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomko comes to the cage accompanied by Cancer bats-Sabotage. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Xoul misses.
Xoul forces Tomko back against the cage and clinches.
Tomko avoids the elbow strike from Xoul, against the cage.
Xoul tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tomko tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Xoul avoids it.
Xoul breaks from the clinch.
Tomko slips a jab and a cross from Xoul.
Etan Xoul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tomko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tomko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tomko shoots in looking for a takedown. Xoul tries to sprawl out of it but Tomko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Xoul manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tomko tries to keep at a distance but Xoul has taken the fight into the clinch.

Xoul gets control of Tomko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Xoul will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Xoul controls Tomko momentarily but Tomko frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xoul is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Xoul seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tomko wants to control but Xoul is keeping busy.

Xoul is nestled in close to Tomko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Xoul is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tomko is just riding it out for now. Xoul eventually gives up the hold.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Xoul lands a nice short elbow.

Tomko is in a horrible position here. Xoul smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Xoul postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tomko looks a forlorn figure.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Xoul throws a right and a left that Tomko avoids nicely.
Xoul will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Xoul has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tomko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Xoul pinned against the cage. Xoul gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tomko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Xoul circles away.
Xoul bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Etan Xoul has got the better of the ground game so far.

BOOM! Xoul connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Xoul is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tomko can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Xoul jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tomko is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tomko and Xoul has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tomko takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Xoul is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tomko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Xoul has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tomko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Xoul yanks on the arm and Tomko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Xoul.
