Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Carlito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Ovrut! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping body kick lands there for Carlito. Carlito defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ovrut. Carlito gets caught napping as Ovrut dives in and scores a takedown. Carlito manages to retain guard. Carlito is looking to stand up but Ovrut isn't so interested in that idea. Carlito is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ovrut wants to pass the guard but Carlito is keeping the position. Carlito is trying to keep Ovrut in close.
We're going to have a standup here because Tommy Carlito wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ovrut fails with a takedown attempt. Ovrut shoots in but Carlito avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tommy Carlito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Ovrut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ovrut clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ovrut blocks the elbow strike.

Carlito tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ovrut avoids it. Ovrut tries to pull guard but Carlito holds him up against the cage and eventually Ovrut drops back down to his feet.

Tommy Carlito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carlito lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ovrut closes the distance and clinches up with Carlito, looking for a takedown. Ovrut pushes Carlito against the cage but Carlito circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. and Carlito counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Ovrut! He's just covering up as Carlito starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
