The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maluco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Tavares shoots in looking for a takedown but Maluco manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tavares's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tavares drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tavares is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Maluco's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tavares wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maluco keeps working.

Tavares walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Maluco works Tavares's body with a nice hook.
Tavares tries for a takedown but Maluco sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Tavares shoots in and drives through. Maluco sprawls well.
Maluco uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tavares shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maluco's guard.

A very excited looking Fernado Tavares rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
