Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Helmond Hoolie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Moran!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoolie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Moran clinches.
Moran has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hoolie uses from the top position.
Hoolie wants to control from the top but Moran keeps moving.
Moran trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Hoolie postures up.
Moran has a closed guard, preventing Hoolie from standing up.
Moran is looking for a triangle but Hoolie pushes his legs off easily.
Moran will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Moran working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoolie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoolie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moran is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moran takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Moran moves nicely into side control.
Moran wants to control but Hoolie is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moran works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hoolie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moran throws a strike aimed at the side of Hoolie's head but Hoolie avoids it well.

Moran decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hoolie to his feet.
Moran drives through and clinches with Hoolie against the cage.
Moran is looking to break free of the clinch but Hoolie has double underhooks.
Moran tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hoolie just stands there and leans against the cage.
Moran lands a nice elbow.
Moran drags the fight down to the ground.
Moran looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moran working for submissions but it's allowed Hoolie to get to half guard.

Moran holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Moran throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Moran is looking to get back to full guard here but Hoolie has managed to pass to side control instead.

Moran keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Moran wants to control but Hoolie is having none of it.
Hoolie breaks from Moran's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Moran is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hoolie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Moran is surviving well by controlling Hoolie's body position as best he can.
Hoolie breaks from Moran's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Moran is working to get back to half guard.
Moran tries to hold on but Hoolie pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chase Moran dominated that round.

Hoolie is looking to clinch but Moran is avoiding it.

Moran has his takedown stuffed
and Hoolie counters by moving into the clinch.
Moran fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Moran tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Helmond Hoolie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chase Moran.
Moran drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hoolie pulls his leg out and moves away.
Moran looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Moran seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Moran is breathing heavily.
Moran won't allow Hoolie to get back to his feet.
Hoolie keeping moving, preventing Moran from controlling successfully.

Moran lands a couple of elbows.
Moran stays in close to Hoolie's body and controls the position.
Hoolie looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Moran stops Hoolie from standing up.
Moran wants to control from the top but Hoolie keeps moving.
Hoolie is working an open guard so Moran takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hoolie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hoolie swats away the attempt to clinch by Moran.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Moran fails to land the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moran.
Hoolie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
