Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Dyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Dyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dyer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mir on the side of the head. Dyer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mir misses with a wild body shot. No luck for Mir with that takedown attempt. Mir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dyer manages to avoid it. Mir misses with a double jab.
Mir rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mir misses with a body shot
and Dyer counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mir working for a triangle but Dyer defends it easily.
Mir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dyer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mir throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dyer throws a big right hand that misses. Mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dyer is looking to work some ground and pound but Mir has wrist control. Dyer lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mir working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dyer. Dyer cracks Mir with a solid left hand. Dyer with a flurry of punches that miss. Dyer is working Mir over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dyer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dyer throwing strikes from guard but Mir blocks nicely. Dyer with a flurry of punches that miss. Dyer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dyer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dyer wants it to stay on the feet. Frank Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dyer slips a straight right by Mir. Mir tries for a takedown but Dyer circles away easily and Dyer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Stephen Dyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Mir tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mir looks for a takedown but Dyer sprawls well. Dyer stuffs the takedown. Dyer looking to score a takedown here. Mir is defending well but Dyer drives through and ends up in Mir's guard. Mir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dyer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dyer is aware though and is defending well. Dyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground. Mir looks gassed! Dyer throwing strikes but missing. Mir has a closed guard, preventing Dyer from standing up. Dyer wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving. Dyer postures up in Mir's guard and throws a big left but Mir blocks it. Dyer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dyer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dyer lands a couple of decent looking shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dyer landing with the ground and pound. Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dyer's guard. Mir stops Dyer from standing up. Dyer trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Dyer is trying to keep Mir in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dyer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Dyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Stephen Dyer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Nice defenses there by Dyer. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Horrible takedown by Mir or perhaps it was just good defense by Dyer which made him look bad. Mir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dyer slaps away a takedown attempt from Mir, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mir is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dyer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mir misses with a jab to the body
and Dyer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mir thinking. Mir takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mir shoots in looking for a takedown but Dyer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stephen Dyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dyer but Dyer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mir shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dyer defends it nicely. Dyer fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mir is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mir takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. Dyer lands a big right hand that sends Mir crashing to the mat! Dyer stays standing though and waves Mir back to his feet!
Mir is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. BAM! Dyer delivers a spinning backfist that drops Mir like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
