Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Ciccazzo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Roberts.
Roberts throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ciccazzo throws a lazy head kick
and Roberts counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ciccazzo's knee momentarily.
Roberts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ciccazzo looks gassed!
Roberts lands a high kick to the side of Ciccazzo's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Roberts dives into guard, looking to finish.
It looks like Pierre Ciccazzo has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Roberts trying to control the position from guard on top but Ciccazzo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roberts with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Roberts scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Roberts pushes down on Ciccazzo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Roberts has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Roberts working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ciccazzo turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Roberts off and cradles Ciccazzo's limp body as Roberts celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). TJ Roberts!
