The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomatoes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Can Tomatoes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tomatoes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tomatoes throws a series of punches but Hall avoids them all with ease.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hall is looking to clinch but Tomatoes is avoiding it.

Tomatoes stuns Hall with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tomatoes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hall.

so Hall counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tomatoes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Tomatoes is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tomatoes wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tomatoes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tomatoes throwing shots but Hall is blocking nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hall landing rabbit punches to the side of Tomatoes's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Tomatoes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hall wants to improve his position but Tomatoes is controlling well.

Tomatoes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hall can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall tries to close the distance and clinch but Tomatoes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Tomatoes. That snapped Hall's head back.
It looks like Ken Hall has been cut.

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hall is looking to take a break and control but Tomatoes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hall is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tomatoes still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tomatoes has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Hall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tomatoes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tomatoes won't allow Hall to sweep him here.
Hall striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Hall throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Can Tomatoes.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tomatoes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
