The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eneko shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.
James stuns Eneko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and James counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
James must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
James controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.
James is trying to control the action in half guard but Eneko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eneko is trying to maintain the position but James is very close to passing his half guard.
Eneko tries to get to full guard but James has control of the leg.

James scores with a shot to the body.

The fighters circling - James throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Eneko.
James connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Eneko's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eneko ducks under a wild hook from James.
Eneko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

James cracks Eneko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. James has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Eneko to stand back up!


Eneko is rocked!
James throws a pinpoint strike between Eneko's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Eneko crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and James scores a great knockout victory!
