The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abueva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Abueva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Abueva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's time! Abueva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Abueva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Abueva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Abueva off to one side.

Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Abueva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Abueva's back!
