Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Pinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pinha might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bate Pesadão ( Pregador Luo ). Thiago Sagat acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Pinha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Sagat! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinha slaps away a takedown attempt from Sagat, before circling back to the center of the mat. Diego Pinha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pinha throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pinha is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sagat. Sagat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pinha manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sagat manages to get himself to full guard.
Pinha is fighting to break Sagat's control of his arms but Sagat is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Sagat trying to keep a closed guard but Pinha is proving a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Diego Pinha. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pinha, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
