Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Sabacajan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 2 and Sean Sabacajan. Rickenbacker v.2's entrance music is Back Stabber!. A fine choice. Sean Sabacajan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Sabacajan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sabacajan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rickenbacker v.2 sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sabacajan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sabacajan shoots in and gets a takedown into Rickenbacker v.2's guard. Sabacajan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rickenbacker v.2 working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sabacajan. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Let's see if Sabacajan can do anything to dispel that myth. Sabacajan is trying desperately to improve position.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sabacajan blocking the ground and pound. Sabacajan throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. That's four minutes gone in the round. Rickenbacker v.2 working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Sabacajan flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Rickenbacker v.2 prevents Sabacajan from getting the reversal. Sabacajan wants to control but Rickenbacker v.2 is having none of it. Rickenbacker v.2 throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Rickenbacker v.2 trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sabacajan is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rickenbacker v.2 throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Rickenbacker v.2 can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sabacajan is looking to escape. Rickenbacker v.2 takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Sabacajan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sabacajan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rickenbacker v.2 sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sabacajan somewhat. Rickenbacker v.2 connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sabacajan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rickenbacker v.2 pinned against the ropes. Rickenbacker v.2 gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sabacajan. Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Sabacajan. Rickenbacker v.2 misses with a head kick.
Sabacajan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rickenbacker v.2 scores with a spinning back kick! Rickenbacker v.2 feints and then cracks Sabacajan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sabacajan down. Sabacajan is breathing heavily. Rickenbacker v.2 scores with a head kick. Sabacajan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Sean Sabacajan has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rickenbacker v.2 rushes Sabacajan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Rickenbacker v.2 gets underhooks to prevent Sabacajan's takedown attempt.
