Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martez Cortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borg comes to the cage accompanied by Flying in a Blue Dream. The key to victory for Vince Borg has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Cortega catches Borg right on the button with a cross.
Borg swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cortega counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A big right from Borg misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cortega, as that shot connected.
Borg throws a hook but Cortega avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Borg. Cortega does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cortega tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Borg was well out of range. Poor timing from Cortega.

Cortega drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cortega jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Vince Borg will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Borg paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Cortega closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cortega lands in his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cortega is working to tighten is grip on Borg's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Borg has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cortega is really squeezing tight and eventually Borg passes out! Cortega breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
