Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chuck Liddle! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and West counters with a takedown into side control. Liddle tries to escape but West is in control. Liddle wants to get back to his feet but West is dominant here and he's now got Liddle's back! Liddle covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

West is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Liddle takes a big shot to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Liddle wants to get back to his feet. West struggling to keep hold of the position.

Liddle remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise West will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Liddle is trying to stand back up. West controlling from the back. West looking for the RNC. West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Liddle on the ground. Liddle has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddle is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Liddle holding both West 's hands and preventing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

West tries to clinch there but Liddle circles away.
Liddle throws a right hand that West ducks under and follows up with a left that West also avoids with ease. Liddle gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Liddle wants to stand but West is controlling the position. West with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Liddle wants to stand but West is controlling the position. West wants to pass the guard but Liddle is keeping the position. West is standing up over Liddle. Liddle looks to escape but West dives into side control.
Liddle is breathing heavily. West tries for a kimura but Liddle is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddle tries to escape but West is in control. West stands up and beckons Liddle to his feet. Liddle misses with a combination
and West counters by clinching up. West lands with a light punch inside. West is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Liddle can do to turn this around? Liddle has had enough of the clinch but West keeps him there for the moment. Liddle wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but West has him pressed against the cage. Liddle is trying to push West away but West has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. West pulls guard effortlessly. Liddle got a little sloppy there for a moment and West has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddle has managed to get both his arms back between West's legs - danger averted. Liddle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of West is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. West is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Liddle rolls with it to try and escape but West cranks on the arm and Liddle is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
