The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carwin gets caught flat footed, as Gaston shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gaston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gaston throwing strikes from guard but Carwin blocks nicely.
Gaston trying to control the position from guard on top but Carwin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carwin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carwin tries to get out of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nick Gaston was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Gaston moves in looking to clinch but Carwin pushes him off.

Carwin throws the left hand but Gaston avoids the punch easily.

and Carwin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gaston on the side of the head.

Gaston ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carwin moves away.

Carwin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Carwin dodges the punch combination from Gaston.
Gaston lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Carwin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carwin wants it to stay on the feet.

Gaston tries to close the distance and clinch but Carwin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Carwin punishes Gaston's body with a nice straight punch.
Carwin lands a lovely overhand right.

Gaston is rocked!
Carwin grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Gaston takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Carwin cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
