PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berry Aneurysm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lal Dama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dama on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Aneurysm. Aneurysm obviously looking to wear him down.
Aneurysm throws a front kick aimed at Dama's knee but Dama avoids it well.
Aneurysm pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aneurysm swivels and escapes.
Aneurysm connects with a high kick.

Dama fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aneurysm to the ground. Dama is now in Aneurysm's guard.

Dama stands up and waves to Aneurysm to follow him.
Dama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aneurysm's waist but Aneurysm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dama off to one side.
Aneurysm fails to land with a series of punches.
Aneurysm throws a head kick but Dama moves out of range.
Dama moves away from the strike by Aneurysm.
Dama fails to land the takedown.
Berry Aneurysm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lal Dama.
Dama slips a jab from Aneurysm.

Aneurysm throws a nice head kick!
Aneurysm lands a head kick!
Dama avoids the head kick by Aneurysm.
Lal Dama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dama is defended easily by Aneurysm.
Dama shoots in but Aneurysm avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Aneurysm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dama defends it nicely.
Aneurysm is breathing heavily.

Dama closes the distance and clinches.

Dama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dama moves out of range as Aneurysm throws a body kick.
Dama shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aneurysm but Aneurysm pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dama looks for a takedown but Aneurysm sprawls well.

Dama closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dama gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aneurysm can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dama controls the pace.

Dama forces his way into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lal Dama wasn't active enough on the ground.

Dama shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aneurysm is trying to defend but Dama finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dama in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Aneurysm tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dama!
