Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zakhar Polzin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anhel Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zakhar Polzin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anhel Batista! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Batista missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Polzin keeping moving, preventing Batista from controlling successfully. Batista wants to stand but Polzin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Polzin trying to keep a closed guard but Batista is proving a slippery customer.
Batista wants to control from the top but Polzin keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anhel Batista. Polzin throws a leg kick which misses Batista's front leg but catches the back leg as Batista tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Batista. Polzin throws a push kick but Batista slaps the foot to one side. Batista fails with the takedown. Polzin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Batista has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Batista scores a takedown into full mount! Polzin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Batista.
Batista content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Batista is stalling here but it's allowed Polzin to get half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Batista takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Batista stalling away here and it's allowed Polzin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Batista trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Batista trying to control but Polzin is working from the bottom. Polzin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Batista.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista trying to control but Polzin is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anhel Batista wasn't active enough on the ground. Batista changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Polzin tries to avoid it but Batista manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Polzin to the ground. Polzin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Zakhar Polzin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anhel Batista. Batista tries to clinch up. Polzin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Anhel Batista has been cut. Polzin misses with a kick to the body.
Whack! Polzin lands a heavy head kick that drops Batista. The ref tackles Polzin to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Batista was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Zakhar Polzin! Our winner, Zakhar Polzin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
