Mulligan comes to the cage accompanied by collie buddz. Mike Mulligan looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mulligan as he avoids it easily.

Karelin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mulligan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Karelin's guard! Nice work there by Mulligan!
Karelin is pulling down on Mulligan's head. It's preventing any offense from Mulligan, at least for the moment.

Karelin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Karelin pulls Mulligan in close to prevent any damage.

Mulligan is bucking up trying to escape but Karelin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

It looks like Mike Mulligan has been cut.

Mike Mulligan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Karelin is landing with some decent strikes but Mulligan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jeez, Mike Mulligan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
