Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jao Lai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Kourdakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kourdakov has chosen Sonata Arctica - San Sebastian as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lai throws a jab but it's blocked by Kourdakov.
Lai wants to clinch up but Kourdakov keeps it at a distance.

Lai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lai moves in looking to clinch but Kourdakov pushes him off.
Lai lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kourdakov misses with a looping left.
Lai does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lai just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kourdakov's brow.
Kourdakov has clasped his hands together around Lai's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kourdakov takes a little break here. Lai wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kourdakov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lai because Kourdakov loaded up on that one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lai avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kourdakov.
Lai tries to hold on but Kourdakov pushes him away.
Kourdakov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lai takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kourdakov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kourdakov catches Lai with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Kourdakov postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lai in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lai to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
