McRae kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slipknot - Before I Forget. The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brigante pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

McRae connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Brigante has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McRae finds it's way round the side to connect with Brigante 's head.

Carlito Brigante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brigante throws a right hand that McRae ducks under and follows up with a left that McRae also avoids with ease.
McRae cracks Brigante with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

McRae fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brigante looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

McRae shoots in looking for a takedown. Brigante tries to sprawl out of it but McRae keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brigante manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and McRae makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

McRae looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brigante is fending him off so far but McRae persists. Nope, Brigante circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McRae tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Brigante throws a sloppy head kick and McRae moves out of range easily.
McRae with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brigante to score with a decent uppercut.
McRae scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

McRae looks to land a right hand but Brigante moved out of range.

and McRae counters with a lovely shot to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brigante lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McRae has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McRae and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

McRae shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

McRae postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Rik McRae will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brigante stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and McRae counters with a nice body shot.
Brigante takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Carlito Brigante seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McRae paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McRae misses with a looping left.
A telegraphed right hand from Brigante misses the target.

McRae shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McRae showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McRae is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McRae is working for a submission of some sort.

McRae is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brigante sees it coming and defends easily.
McRae is thwarting Brigante 's attempts to control the position.
McRae wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brigante keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McRae missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
McRae is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brigante is controlling McRae's position as best he can from this difficult position.
McRae not landing any meaningful shots this time.
McRae has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McRae maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Brigante could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but McRae has cracked it and Brigante is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by McRae!
