Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beanie (Mack B****). Cole has chosen Michael Cole's Entrance music as his entrance music. Dwight Grant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grant drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cole is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grant wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.
Cole avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Grant working some strikes from top position.
Grant lands a couple of digs.
Grant throws a big elbow that misses.
Grant trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom.
Cole looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grant is one step ahead there.
Grant landing with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cole utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grant showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Grant throws a big right hand that misses.
Cole avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cole bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grant's guard.
Cole passes Grant's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Grant tries to get to full guard but Cole has control of the leg.

Grant is doing well to control the position and prevent Cole from advancing to side control.

Cole is working for a submission of some sort.
Grant gets full guard.
Grant seems keen to control Cole's posture.
Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grant is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cole keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Cole moves into full guard.
Cole keeping moving, preventing Grant from controlling successfully.
Grant postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cole working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Grant.
Grant trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Grant throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cole wants to sweep but no luck.
Grant distracts Cole with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Grant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cole works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Grant controls from within his opponent's guard.
Grant looking to sit in guard and control but Cole gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Grant tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Grant controlling the position.
Grant throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grant looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cole is one step ahead there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grant looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Cole prevents Grant from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dwight Grant dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Good shot there by Cole.
Cole misses with a series of wild punches.
Cole lands a slapping body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Grant ducks under a wild hook from Cole.
Grant takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Grant feints a jab promting Cole to slip. Grant then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cole slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Grant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but Cole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grant is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cole is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Cole not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Grant trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dwight Grant wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Grant with a jab.

Cole is rocked!
Michael Cole is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Grant lands a huge takedown. Cole is out but the ref is slow to react and Grant lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Cole lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
