Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stefan Bennett will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Finch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stefan Bennett! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett defending well as Finch loads up on a big left hand. Bennett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Finch paws at him with a jab and circles away. Finch is looking to clinch. Bennett misses with a double jab.
Bennett tries to clinch up so Finch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Finch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Finch trying to control the position from guard on top but Bennett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finch prevents Bennett from getting back to his feet. Finch is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bennett keeping full guard, as Finch tries to pass. Finch advances position into side control! Bennett looks gassed! Bennett seems a little lost for a moment, as Finch dominates the positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Finch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bennett gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finch tries to control but Bennett wriggling away. Finch content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch looking to control but Bennett is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jake Finch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Finch dodges the punch combination from Bennett.
Finch just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bennett tries to clinch but Finch moves away and Finch holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bennett breaks the clinch.
Bennett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Finch throws out the jab. Finch tries to clinch up. Bennett wants to clinch but Finch slips to the side and Finch counters by moving into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bennett is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bennett digs a right hand into Finch's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Finch's gas tank. Finch tries to pull guard but Bennett holds him up against the cage and eventually Finch drops back down to his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bennett takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Finch dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Finch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finch showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Finch seems to be working for a kimura but Bennett defends the submission attempt. Finch stalling. Bennett is breathing heavily. Bennett is in trouble now - Finch has advanced to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Finch trying to control but Bennett is having none of it. Finch goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bennett is on top in guard.
Bennett stopping the sweep attempt from Finch. Finch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Finch throws a couple of heel strikes.
Finch throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Bennett throws a strike but Finch rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Finch wants to pass the guard but Bennett is keeping the position. Finch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bennett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Finch thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Finch trying to control but Bennett is working from the bottom. Finch advances position into side control! Finch trying to control the position but Bennett is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Finch lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Finch trying to control the position but Bennett is working away. Finch is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bennett has escaped the position, nice work there. Finch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bennett keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Bennett's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Finch dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Finch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Finch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bennett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Finch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Finch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Finch passes easily into side control. Nice work. Finch staying calm. Bennett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finch tries for a kimura but Bennett is defending well. Finch tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Finch has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Finch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bennett, who protects the arm well. Jake Finch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett is not content to let Finch control the position. Bennett looking for a sweep but Finch has passed into full mount! Oh no! Bennett is bucking up trying to escape but Finch cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bennett is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Finch is trying to keep Bennett in close.
Bennett avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Finch controls Bennett momentarily but Bennett frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Finch swivels though and keeps the full guard. Finch manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bennett manages to get himself to full guard.
Finch trying to control but Bennett is working from the bottom. Finch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Finch showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Finch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
