Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vaughn Hammersmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammersmith comes to the cage accompanied by Kanye West - It's Amazing. Johnson has chosen Through the Fire Flames- Dragonforce as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammersmith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hammersmith trying to control the position.
Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Hammersmith has wrist control.
Johnson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hammersmith tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hammersmith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hammersmith looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.

Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hammersmith tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hammersmith to the ground. Hammersmith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hammersmith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hammersmith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hammersmith throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hammersmith's waist but Hammersmith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hammersmith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hammersmith has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
Johnsonis looking to pass into half guard but Hammersmith pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hammersmith is in guard.
