Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Guervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Goldwhig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldwhig has chosen It's Bobcat as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Billy Goldwhig enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldwhig changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guervo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Goldwhig wants to control but Guervo is keeping him busy.
Guervo is looking to reverse the position.
Goldwhig tries to move to mount but Guervo blocks the move with his legs.
Guervo is trying to improve his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Guervo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Goldwhig escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Guervo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goldwhig is on top in guard.
Goldwhig wants to pass the guard but Guervo is keeping the position.

Goldwhig drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goldwhig jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Guervo wants to control the position but Goldwhig says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Goldwhig seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Guervo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Goldwhig drives through with a takedown into guard.
Goldwhig stands and throws Guervo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Goldwhig wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guervo, who protects the arm well.
Guervo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Goldwhig off and has taken his back!
Goldwhig tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
