The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Myrmidon misses with an uppercut. Russell saw that one coming.
A head kick misses from Russell.
Myrmidon cracks Russell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A punch combination from Russell misses.
Russell swats away the attempt to clinch by Myrmidon.
Myrmidon moves out of range of the leg kick from Russell.
A jab lands there for Myrmidon.
Myrmidon misses with an uppercut. Russell saw that one coming.
Myrmidon misses with a straight left.
Russell takes one to the chin there.
A combination from Russell does no damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Russell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Myrmidon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Russell. Russell obviously looking to wear him down.

Russell throws a hook but Myrmidon avoids it easily.
Myrmidon wants to clinch.
Myrmidon scores with a hook.
Russell goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Russell on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Russell tries to land a front kick but Myrmidon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Russell throws a low kick but it's checked well by Myrmidon.
Russell takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Russell throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Russell throws a head kick but Myrmidon moves out of range.
Myrmidon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Myrmidon lands a big head kick that sends Russell to the canvas! Myrmidon follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
