The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corncobb fails to land with a series of punches.
Corncobb misses with a jab, cross combination.
Corncobb throws a sloppy head kick and Mensah moves out of range easily.
Corncobb throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mensah is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Corncobb throws a head kick but Mensah moves out of range.
Corncobb throws a series of punches but Mensah moves out of range.
Mensah throws a right hand that Corncobb ducks under and follows up with a left that Corncobb also avoids with ease.
Mensah falls off balance throwing a combination
and Corncobb counters with an outside leg kick.
Mensah bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Corncobb's head.
Kofi Mensah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corncobb tries a head kick but it misses.
Mensah misses with a series of wild punches.
Corncobb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mensah fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Corncobb showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mensah.

Corncobb misses with a looping left.
Mensah connects with a good right hand that stumbles Corncobb. Corncobb circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nice uppercut lands for Mensah. That snapped Corncobb's head back.
Mensah lands a jab-cross combination.
Mensah's jab looks to have found its range, popping Corncobb under the eye.
Corncobb rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mensah moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mensah fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd cheers as Mensah lands an impressive looking overhand right. Corncobb doesn't seem phased though.
Corncobb throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Corncobb's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mensah connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Corncobb scrambles back to his feet.
Mensah lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corncobb circles away quickly and effectively.
Mensah takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Corncobb takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Mensah connects with a looping right hand.
Corncobb throws a right hand that Mensah ducks under and follows up with a left that Mensah also avoids with ease.

Corncobb scoring well with a low kick there.
Mensah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Mensah there.
Corncobb lands the left hand.
Mensah sizes up Corncobb with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Corncobb is rocked!
Corncobb throws out a leg kick but Mensah moves out of range and Corncobb only half commits.
Oh Corncobb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mensah circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Corncobb to the canvas! Corncobb doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mensah keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kofi Mensah!
