The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suspiria gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Suspiria is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Suspiria into the cage.
Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Suspiria is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy.
Suspiria manages to break the clinch.
Suspiria keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones clinches with his opponent.
Suspiria fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is trying to break free.
Suspiria tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jones is pulling down on Suspiria's head to control his posture.

Suspiria is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Suspiria is proving a slippery customer.
Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones controls Suspiria momentarily but Suspiria frees himself.

Suspiria gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Suspiria lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Suspiria gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Shake Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Suspiria.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Suspiria.

Suspiria bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Suspiria. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
Suspiria with a poor takedown
and Jones counters with a nice leg kick.
Jones tries to clinch there but Suspiria circles away.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
Suspiria looks to move to half guard but instead Jones has passed into mount! Damn!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shake Jones will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Suspiria tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Suspiria closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a two punch combo.
Suspiria darts in trying to clinch
and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Suspiria's guard.
Jones postures up in Suspiria's guard and throws a big left but Suspiria blocks it.
Suspiria keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Suspiria is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break Suspiria's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Suspiria is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jones throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Suspiria's body to avoid the submission. Suspiria has instead reached around Jones's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Suspiria arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
