Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mansur Abdel Salam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caiaphas Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdel Salam comes to the cage accompanied by PRO PAIN - SHINE. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mansur Abdel Salam! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caiaphas Caine! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abdel Salam misses with a two punch combination.
Caine drives through with a takedown into guard. Caine wants to pass the guard but Abdel Salam is keeping the position. Caine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Caine trying to control the position from guard on top but Abdel Salam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Caine works a leg free and moves into half guard. Still in half guard, Caine seems content to control. Caine is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Abdel Salam defends it well. Abdel Salam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caine is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Caine is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Caine is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Abdel Salam! Caine has hold of Abdel Salam's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Abdel Salam manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caine looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Abdel Salam defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Caine. Caine has control of Abdel Salam's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Abdel Salam regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Abdel Salam has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caine working for the choke. Caine looking to break Abdel Salam's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Abdel Salam remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Caine will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Caine is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Abdel Salam defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Caine's arms. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Caine is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Abdel Salam knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Abdel Salam for a finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caine goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Abdel Salam escapes and is now in half guard on top. Caine looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Caine manages to get to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abdel Salam is looking to stand up but Caine won't let him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Caiaphas Caine has been cut. Caine shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Caine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Abdel Salam looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Abdel Salam looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Abdel Salam! Caine is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on Caine's face as Abdel Salam controls the position. Caine gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Caine wants to improve his position but Abdel Salam is controlling well.

Caine tries to get to full guard but Abdel Salam has control of the leg. Abdel Salam seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Abdel Salam's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Abdel Salam's back! Caine is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Abdel Salam is defending well though. Caine let's go of the attempt for now. Caine working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Caine looking for the choke but no joy. Caine trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Well, with Caine on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Abdel Salam is tapping out... Can he escape the position? As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Caine is persistently looking for the submission but Abdel Salam is defending it well.

Caiaphas Caine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Caiaphas Caine's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Abdel Salam throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caine. Caine fails with a takedown attempt. Caine lands a really nice looking cross but Abdel Salam seems unphased.

Abdel Salam prevents Caine from moving into mount. This has been an exciting period of action! You can see the frustration on Abdel Salam's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Caine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abdel Salam has escaped the position, nice work there. Abdel Salam wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Caine misses with a takedown attempt - Abdel Salam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Caine misses with a straight left.

Mansur Abdel Salam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caiaphas Caine. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Caine ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Abdel Salam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Caine shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Abdel Salam misses with a wild combination.
A slow jab from Caine misses its intended target. A looping hook to the body misses from Caine. Abdel Salam does a little dance to reset his feet. Abdel Salam loads up on a big right hand but Caine slips the punch. Mansur Abdel Salam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Caine throws out a loose jab but Abdel Salam uses good head movement to avoid it. Abdel Salam throws a hook but Caine blocks it. Caine shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Abdel Salam napping and manages to drive through into side control! Abdel Salam is not content to let Caine control the position. Caiaphas Caine has got the better of the ground game so far. Caine tries for a kimura but Abdel Salam is defending well. Caine takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caine takes a little break here. Abdel Salam wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Caine tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Caine has hold of Abdel Salam's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Abdel Salam seems comfortable defending it but Caine has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Abdel Salam is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Abdel Salam is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Caine couldn't care less - he's delighted!

An out of breath Caiaphas Caine thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
