Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Ferguson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Ferguson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson shows good takedown defense. James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ferguson tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ferguson to the ground. Ferguson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ferguson tests James's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ferguson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ferguson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ferguson throwing strikes but missing. James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferguson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. James trying to keep a closed guard but Ferguson is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ferguson sitting in guard here, content to control. James is trying to control the position but Ferguson postures up. Ferguson is posturing up here but James has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ferguson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ferguson has to tap! Slick submission there by James!
