Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylo Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray has chosen Derek and the Dominos - Layla as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Taylo Ray! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray connects with a right hand. Lesnar shakes it off. Ray shoots in looking for a takedown but Lesnar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ray's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ray fails with a takedown attempt. Lesnar lands an overhand right.
It looks like Taylo Ray has been cut. Lesnar lands a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ray connects with an inside leg kick. Ray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brock Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taylo Ray. Lesnar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ray on the side of the head. Ray slips under a jab from Lesnar. Lesnar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ray drives through with a takedown into Lesnar's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lesnar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ray wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position. Ray postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ray trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray throws a big elbow that misses. Ray slips nicely into half guard. Ray thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lesnar blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ray. Ray working over Lesnar with some ground and pound. Lesnar looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ray is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lesnar has managed to free his arm - good work. Ray looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray throws a strike but Lesnar avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Ray has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lesnar is keeping the position for now. Ray throws a strike but Lesnar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ray is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lesnar is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ray isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lesnar stacks Ray on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lesnar!

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lesnar defends it well. Ray throwing shots but Lesnar is blocking nicely. Ray is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lesnar sees it coming and defends easily. Ray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lesnar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ray.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is trying to stand up here but Ray is controlling him well. Ray throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ray is working for a kimura but Lesnar is defending it quite comfortably.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ray sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lesnar defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taylo Ray dominated that round. The cut man is working on Taylo Ray's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ray feints and as Lesnar raises his hands in defense, Ray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lesnar keeping moving, preventing Ray from controlling successfully. Ray throws a strike but Lesnar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ray looking for a guillotine here but Lesnar defends easily.
Ray wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lesnar is now in half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ray is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lesnar's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lesnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ray. Ray throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ray connects with a solid leg kick. Ray looks to land a right hand but Lesnar moved out of range. Lesnar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Ray to counter with a crisp jab. Lesnar scores with a hook. A telegraphed right hand from Lesnar misses the target. Brock Lesnar is winning the standup battle so far. Ray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Ray throws a lazy right hand but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lesnar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ray dips to his left and cracks Lesnar with an uppercut! A jab lands there for Ray. Lesnar misses with a few strikes there.
Lesnar takes a swing at Ray's ribcage but misses. Lesnar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lesnar. Lesnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ray. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ray gets the takedown into side control. Ray is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lesnar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ray swings around for an armbar but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ray's guard. Ray throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lesnar escapes and throws Ray's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ray is trying to get back to half guard.

Lesnar is trying to stick to Ray's back but Ray is turning into Lesnar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lesnar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ray. Ray scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Lesnar keeping moving, preventing Ray from controlling successfully. Ray keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lesnar's head. Ray trying to control the position from guard on top but Lesnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ray is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lesnar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lesnar has escaped and now he's on top! Ray has a closed guard, preventing Lesnar from standing up.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ray looking for a triangle here. Lesnar is fighting it but it looks tight! Ray pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lesnar is tapping out - this one is all over!
