Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel closes the distance and clinches up with Starr, looking for a takedown. Liddel pushes Starr against the cage but Starr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Starr rushes Liddel and presses him up against the cage.
A short left from Starr.
Liddel wants a takedown but no success here.
Liddel working aggressively here.
Starr lands with a light punch inside.
with the fighters clinched against the cage, Starr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Liddel tries for a takedown but Starr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Demitri Starr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dump Liddel.
Liddel drives through with a takedown into guard.
Starr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Starr has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Liddel has passed into side control.
Starr is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Starr is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liddel looks gassed!
Liddel blocks the strikes from Starr.

Starr tries to get to full guard but Liddel has control of the leg.

Starr tries to roll over but Liddel keeps him under control.
Starr throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Starr instigates a clinch.
Starr wants the takedown. Liddel is fighting it off but Starr persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Liddel's guard against the cage.
Liddel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Starr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Liddel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Starr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Liddel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Starr is one step ahead there.
Starr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Starr landing with the ground and pound.
Starr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Liddel's head.
Starr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Liddel on the ground.
Starr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Starr lands a couple of elbows.
Starr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Starr is in close to Liddel's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Starr wants to pass the guard but Liddel is keeping the position.
Starr cracks Liddel with a solid left hand.
Starr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Starr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Starr is working Liddel over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Starr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Liddel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Starr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liddel looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Starr is defending well. Liddel quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Starr has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Liddel celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
