Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JJ Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Abbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes into the arena with Superfreak blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tank Abbit! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes lands a right hook to the body.
Hayes lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hayes connects with a single shot there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Abbit tries to land a leg kick but Hayes saw it coming and moves away.
Hayes cracks Abbit with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Hayes. Those never looked like landing. Abbit is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hayes's half guard. Hayes kicks off Abbit and gets to his feet. A combination from Hayes does no damage. Abbit takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hayes jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Hayes scores with a one two! Abbit had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Hayes connects with a body shot. Abbit doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Abbit looks gassed! Hayes throws a one two combo.
Abbit looks for a takedown but Hayes sprawls well. Abbit tries to clinch up but Hayes circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A right-left combo lands from Hayes. Hayes lands a jab-cross combination. Hayes cracks Abbit with an open hand slap. Abbit just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A shot to the liver by Hayes. Beautiful body shot. Hayes lands a jab-cross combination. Abbit walks into a straight right hand from Hayes. Hayes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hayes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hayes throws a shot to the body.
Hayes sizes up Abbit with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hayes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Sloppy strikes from Hayes. Those never looked like landing. Hayes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hayes. Hayes is working the combinations to good effect here. Abbit takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abbit throws a hook to the side of Hayes's head but Hayes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hayes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Abbit backs up against the cage.
Abbit ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Abbit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hayes lands a really nice looking cross but Abbit seems unphased.
No joy there for Abbit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hayes lands a glancing blow to the side of Abbit's head. Hayes throws a right and a left that both miss. Abbit misses with a straight right. Hayes looks to land a combination but Abbit avoids it well. Abbit throws a hook but Hayes blocks it. Hayes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Abbit misses with a wild body shot. Abbit shoots in but Hayes avoids the takedown attempt easily. JJ Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tank Abbit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes tries to bum rush Abbit with a series of wild strikes but Abbit uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Abbit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hayes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Abbit takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Abbit takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hayes stalks Abbit and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Abbit's face. Abbit staggers backwards, shaken. Hayes throws a body punch but Abbit moves out of range. Abbit scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Abbit tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hayes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A jab from Abbit misses. Hayes works over Abbit's head and body with a nice combination. Hayes digs a good body shot into Abbit's ribs. Hayes misses with a body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Hayes. Those never looked like landing. Abbit staying out of range there. Abbit is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Abbit moves in looking to clinch but Hayes pushes him off. Hayes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Abbit throws a leg kick but Hayes checks it. Hayes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hayes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. JJ Hayes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abbit throws an overhand right that lands on Hayes's shoulder, as Hayes tries to avoid the shot. Hayes lands a two punch combo.
Abbit looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hayes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hayes. Hayes looking for a triangle here. Abbit is fighting it but it looks tight! Hayes pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Abbit is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). JJ Hayes!
