Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Glen Gunner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Willis! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunner walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Glen Gunner has been cut. A punch combination from Willis misses. Willis misses with a double jab.
Gunner circles away from the clinch attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gunner.
Gunner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gunner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Willis counters with a nice uppercut. Gunner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Willis jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gunner keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Willis. No joy there for Gunner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willis takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Willis throws a combination that misses and Gunner counters with a nice uppercut. Gunner walks into a straight right hand from Willis. Willis misses with a leg kick and Gunner counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Willis darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Gunner gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gunner is rocked! Gunner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Willis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oh Gunner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Willis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Willis misses with a looping right. Gunner seems to have got his legs back now. Willis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gunner counters with a head kick. That will keep Willis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gunner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Willis moves into the clinch. Gunner tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Willis is trying to break the clinch but Gunner has him pressed against the cage. Gunner manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Willis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Gunner manages to break the clinch.
Eddie Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Willis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gunner at a distance.
Gunner throws a low kick but Willis avoids it. Willis tries to clinch there but Gunner circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunner wants to clinch up but Willis keeps it at a distance. Gunner takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Willis throws a chopping leg kick but Gunner manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Gunner swings away with a body shot that misses
and Willis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gunner just misses with a punch to the body.
Willis throws a right hand that Gunner ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunner also avoids with ease. Gunner ducks under a wild hook from Willis. Willis with a jab. Willis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Gunner moves out of range of the strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gunner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Eddie Willis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gunner closes the distance looking to clinch and Willis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Willis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Glen Gunner's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gunner looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Willis is looking to clinch but Gunner is avoiding it.

Gunner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Willis managing to block the knees to the body from Gunner.

Willis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gunner is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Gunner misses the knee to the body.
