And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Joe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Joe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Joe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Joe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Joe can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Joe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Silva is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Joe can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
