Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly's entrance music is R Kelly - Real talk. A fine choice. Conner has chosen Godsmack - Time Bomb as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rob Kelly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Conner! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly loads up on a big right hand but Conner slips the punch. Kelly missing with a left hand there. Conner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Conner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Conner misses with a straight left. Conner thows a left - swing and a miss! A swing and a miss from Kelly. Kelly ducks under a wild hook from Conner. Kelly throws an off balance right hand
and Conner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kelly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conner's waist but Conner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kelly off to one side. A looping hook to the body misses from Kelly. Conner does a little dance to reset his feet. Kelly rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Conner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Conner displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Conner lands with a hook. Kelly tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Conner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kelly was well out of range. Poor timing from Conner. Kelly throws a shot from downtown. Conner moves away and avoids it. Tim Conner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Conner looks to score with a jab to the body but Kelly is just out of range. Kelly tries to move into range but Conner moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kelly throws a looping overhand right but Conner ducks down to avoid it. Conner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Conner throws an overhand right that lands on Kelly's shoulder, as Kelly tries to avoid the shot. Conner throws a body punch but Kelly moves out of range. Kelly moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kelly swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Conner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Conner ducks under a wild hook from Kelly. Nice body punch from Kelly. Conner takes a swing at Kelly's ribcage but misses. Kelly throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Conner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly tries to bum rush Conner with a series of wild strikes but Conner uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kelly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kelly lands in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Conner manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Conner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kelly is looking to escape. Kelly is looking to improve his position but Conner isn't that keen on the idea. Conner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kelly slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly tries to roll over but Conner keeps him under control. Conner wants to take a breather but Kelly is having none of it. Kelly wants to improve his position but Conner is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tim Conner. The fighters circle momentarily. Kelly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. No joy there for Kelly, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A telegraphed right hand from Kelly misses the target. Kelly lands a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly swings for the body but Conner moves out of range.
Rob Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Conner keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kelly. Conner thows a body shot but no joy. Kelly throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kelly. Conner does a little dance to reset his feet. Conner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Conner blocks a jab. Conner misses the shot to the body. Kelly with a poor takedown and Conner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kelly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kelly throws a lazy uppercut
and Conner counters with a lovely straight right hand! Conner takes a swing at Kelly's ribcage but misses. Conner closes the distance and pushes Kelly back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rob Kelly will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kelly takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Conner blocks a jab. Conner throws a leg kick but Kelly sees it coming and checks it nicely. Conner throws a hook to the side of Kelly's head but Kelly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A big right from Kelly misses. Kelly jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kelly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conner moves away. Kelly swings for the body but Conner moves out of range.
A jab from Conner finds it's way through Kelly's defenses. Rob Kelly is winning the standup battle so far. Conner takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Conner cracks Kelly with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A slow jab from Conner misses its intended target. Kelly cracks Conner with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Conner. Kelly throws a looping overhand right but Conner ducks down to avoid it. Kelly looks to score with a jab to the body but Conner is just out of range. Conner slips under a jab from Kelly. Kelly lands a nice shot that snaps Conner's head back.
Kelly lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A decent looking body kick lands there for Conner. Conner jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Conner moves in looking to clinch but Kelly pushes him off. Conner fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kelly is out of range. Conner clinches. Kelly lands a nice shot to the body. Kelly avoids the elbow strike from Conner, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conner lands a damaging elbow. Kelly is leaning against Conner and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Conner throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Kelly can't get the takedown.

Both fighters working to control the clinch. Conner tries to work over Kelly's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Conner lands on the inside with an uppercut. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly is looking to break free of the clinch but Conner has double underhooks. Conner manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Conner lands with a shot to the body. Conner wants to clinch. Conner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kelly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kelly lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kelly looks to land a right hand but Conner moved out of range. Conner lands a lovely overhand right. Conner connects with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Conner. Conner throws a sloppy head kick and Kelly moves out of range easily. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Conner - that will leave a mark!

The crowd cheers as Kelly lands an impressive looking overhand right. Conner doesn't seem phased though. A swing and a miss from Kelly. Kelly has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kelly there as he acknowledges the shot. Conner looks to land a combination but Kelly avoids it well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kelly throws a body punch but Conner moves out of range. Kelly misses with a straight left. Kelly swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Conner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kelly circles away quickly and effectively. The fighters circling - Conner throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kelly slips under a jab. Conner misses with an uppercut. Kelly saw that one coming. Kelly swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A slow jab from Kelly misses its intended target. Kelly looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Conner! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kelly raining down hammerfists from mount. Kelly with shots to the head and body - Conner looks very uncomfortable down there. Kelly with the ground and pound from mount. Conner tries to buck Kelly off but he can't manage it. Kelly tries to control but Conner wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conner is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kelly is landing with some decent strikes but Conner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Conner is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kelly is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Conner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kelly postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Conner looks a forlorn figure.
Kelly fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly landing strikes from the mount. Conner tries to hold on but Kelly pushes him away. Kelly landing shots from mount. Conner blocking the ground and pound. Conner blocking the ground and pound. Conner taking shots to the head. You get the feeling that Conner really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Conner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kelly with the ground and pound from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kelly can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Conner is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Kelly showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kelly has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
