The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Beater counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Suez looks to clinch
and Beater counters with a three punch combo that has Suez backing up. Suez nods at Beater to acknowledge the strikes.
Beater changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice defenses there by Suez.
Suez walks into a left hand.
Beater throws a right hand that misses
and Suez counters with a single leg into guard. Beater didn't expect that.
Beater on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beater tries to get out of the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Suez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beater works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Suez looking to pass the guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Suez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Beater is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Suez, into his guard.
Suez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Beater is defending well. Suez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Beater has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Suez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
