Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olav Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazama's entrance music is Boredoms - Space on Space. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Kazama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Olav Erikson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erikson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kazama tries to close the distance and clinch up but Erikson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Erikson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kazama tries a head kick but it misses.
Erikson lands with a shot to the body. Kazama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Erikson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kazama is looking to clinch. Erikson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kazama gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Erikson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Erikson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Erikson content to stall in guard here. Kazama avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Erikson with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson throwing strikes but missing. Erikson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Erikson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Erikson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Erikson prevents Kazama from getting back to his feet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Erikson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Erikson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Erikson scoring with punches to the head and body. Erikson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kazama works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Erikson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kazama is retaining full guard. Erikson is in close to Kazama's body, working some short punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Erikson throws an elbow that misses. Kazama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Erikson's guard. Nice move by Kazama!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Erikson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kazama escapes and throws Erikson's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters take a look at the clock. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Erikson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Erikson is trying to control Kazama's posture but Kazama avoids it. Kazama is looking to take a break and control but Erikson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Erikson can do anything to dispel that myth. Kazama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Erikson, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson is trying to improve his position. Kazama trying to control the position but Erikson is working away. Erikson is looking for a sweep. Erikson is trying to control Kazama's posture but Kazama avoids it. Erikson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kazama's best efforts. Kazama is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Erikson defends it well. Kazama working Erikson over with strikes. Erikson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Erikson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kazama.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazama is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Erikson sees it coming and defends easily. Erikson is pressing down on Kazama's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Erikson has a closed guard, preventing Kazama from standing up. Erikson looking for a guillotine here but Kazama defends easily.
Kazama preventing the sweep. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kazama drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kazama jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Erikson is trying to keep Kazama in close.

Olav Erikson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kazama is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kazama shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Erikson is trying to defend but Kazama finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Olav Erikson has got the better of the ground game so far. Erikson tries to roll over but Kazama keeps him under control. Kazama thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Erikson is not content to let Kazama control the position. Erikson is looking for a sweep. Kazama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Erikson works his way to full guard. Good work. Erikson wants to sweep here but Kazama controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kazama manages to get himself to full guard.
Erikson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kazama could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Erikson throws an elbow that misses. Kazama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Erikson's guard. Nice move by Kazama! Erikson looking for a sweep. Not yet Erikson, not yet. Kazama wants to get up but he can't break Erikson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Erikson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Erikson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kazama trying to control the position from guard on top but Erikson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kazama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kazama preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kazama wants to stand but Erikson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Erikson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kazama's guard. Kazama keeping full guard, as Erikson tries to pass. Erikson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Erikson postures up in Kazama's guard and throws a big left but Kazama blocks it. Erikson throws an elbow that misses. Kazama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Erikson's guard. Nice move by Kazama! This has been an exciting period of action! Erikson pulls Kazama in close to his closed guard and prevents Kazama from doing any damage or advancing position. Erikson wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Erikson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kazama is one step ahead there. Erikson is looking for a triangle but Kazama pushes his legs off easily.
Kazama works over Erikson with some ground and pound from guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Erikson holds on and takes a little breather. Kazama won't allow Erikson to sweep him here. Kazama trying to control but Erikson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Erikson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Erikson keeping moving, preventing Kazama from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Akira Kazama. A swing and a miss from Erikson. Erikson throws a shot from downtown. Kazama moves away and avoids it. No luck for Kazama with that takedown attempt. A looping hook to the body misses from Erikson. Kazama does a little dance to reset his feet. Kazama doesn't manage to clinch there - Erikson circles away.
Kazama gets tackled into the cage by Erikson. Erikson maintains the clinch. Erikson lands a nice uppercut. Erikson stalling against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazama tries to pull guard but Erikson won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kazama is fighting off a takedown attempt but Erikson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kazama to the mat. Kazama regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Erikson connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Olav Erikson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Erikson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Erikson throwing strikes from guard but Kazama blocks nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson keeping full guard, as Kazama tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kazama accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Erikson pulls Kazama in close to prevent any damage. Erikson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Erikson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Erikson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Erikson keeping moving, preventing Kazama from controlling successfully. Kazama looking to sit in guard and control but Erikson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Erikson defends well. Erikson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kazama is keeping the position for now. Erikson throws a strike but Kazama rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Erikson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kazama! Erikson landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Erikson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Erikson looking to control but Kazama is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Erikson landing punches. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Erikson unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kazama tries to hold on but Erikson pushes him away. Kazama is bucking up trying to escape but Erikson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazama is in a horrible position here. Erikson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Akira Kazama has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Olav Erikson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Erikson lands a nice shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Olav Erikson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Erikson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
