Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raging Jobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janusz Kabanos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raging Jobber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Janusz Kabanos!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabanos moves away from the strike by Jobber.
Jobber looks to land a right hand but Kabanos moved out of range.
Jobber swings for the body but Kabanos moves out of range.
Kabanos moves out of range as Jobber strikes.
Jobber fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kabanos manages to avoid it.
Kabanos gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jobber.
Jobber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kabanos looking to score a takedown here. Jobber is defending well but Kabanos drives through and ends up in Jobber's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kabanos stands and throws Jobber's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kabanos controls the position.

Kabanos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Jobber's face as Kabanos controls the position.

Jobber is trying to control Kabanos's posture but Kabanos avoids it.
Kabanos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jobber!

Kabanos has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jobber's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Raging Jobber has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kabanos is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jobber to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jobber shrugs it off.

Kabanos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kabanos is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Jobber is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Janusz Kabanos!
Janusz Kabanos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
