Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Machinda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machinda comes to the cage accompanied by Live Free. Davidson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bullet For My Valentine - Your Betrayal kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Machinda darts in and clinches Davidson up against the cage.
Machinda gets control of Davidson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Machinda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Davidson can't keep his opponent in guard - Machinda advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Machinda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Machinda shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Machinda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davidson leaves Machinda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Machinda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davidson sprawls well. Davidson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Machinda gets slowly back to his feet.

Machinda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davidson pinned against the cage. Davidson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Machinda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davidson was covering up waiting for the punch and Machinda finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Davidson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Machinda is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Davidson to the mat. Davidson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Machinda gets to his feet. Davidson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Machinda rushes Davidson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Davidson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Machinda has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Machinda tries to pull guard but Davidson holds him up against the cage and eventually Machinda drops back down to his feet.

Machinda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anderson Machinda.
Machinda bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Davidson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Machinda is controlling him well.

Davidson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Machinda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Machinda's back!
Despite being in a bad position, Machinda is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davidson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Machinda is doing well to defend. Davidson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Machinda is forced to tap and this one is over!
